1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing, installing, or using CI Security Shield (“the Plugin”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Plugin. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and C&I Studios, a company based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
2. Product Description
CI Security Shield is a proprietary WordPress security plugin developed and maintained by C&I Studios. The Plugin provides security hardening, login protection, firewall capabilities, file integrity monitoring, and related features for WordPress websites.
3. Subscription and Pricing
CI Security Shield is available through the following subscription plans:
- Monthly: $19 per month
- Annual: $149 per year
All subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting us at contact@c-istudios.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
4. License and Usage
Each subscription grants you a license to use CI Security Shield on one WordPress website. Licenses are tied to a specific site URL and cannot be transferred between sites without deactivating and reactivating through your account.
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share the Plugin or your license key with any third party
- Modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the Plugin
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or branding within the Plugin
- Use the Plugin on more sites than your license permits
CI Security Shield is proprietary software. All intellectual property rights remain with C&I Studios.
5. License Verification
The Plugin communicates with the C&I Studios licensing server to verify your subscription status. This verification occurs during activation and approximately once per week thereafter. If the Plugin cannot verify a valid license, certain features (including the monitoring dashboard, reports, and email notifications) may be disabled. Core hardening features will continue to function during a 7-day grace period after license expiration.
6. Refund Policy
We offer refunds under the following terms:
- Monthly subscriptions: Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the charge date
- Annual subscriptions: Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the charge date
Refund requests should be sent to contact@c-istudios.com. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 5 to 10 business days to process.
7. Updates and Support
Active subscribers receive all Plugin updates, including new features, security patches, and compatibility fixes. Support is provided via email at contact@c-istudios.com. We aim to respond to support requests within 1 to 2 business days.
8. Third-Party Compatibility
CI Security Shield is designed to work alongside popular WordPress plugins, themes, and hosting environments. However, we do not guarantee compatibility with every third-party product. The Plugin includes a site analysis tool that identifies potential conflicts during installation. C&I Studios is not liable for issues arising from conflicts with third-party software, custom code, or unsupported hosting configurations.
9. Limitation of Liability
CI Security Shield is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. C&I Studios does not guarantee that the Plugin will prevent all security threats, unauthorized access, or data breaches.
In no event shall C&I Studios be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Plugin.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Plugin shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and license key. You agree to notify us immediately at contact@c-istudios.com if you believe your account or license key has been compromised.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license if you violate these Terms of Service, including but not limited to unauthorized redistribution, abuse of the licensing system, or fraudulent activity. Upon termination, your access to Plugin updates and support will cease immediately.
12. Changes to Terms
C&I Studios may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes via email. Continued use of the Plugin after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Broward County, Florida.
